Shut Supervisor

About the role
Join our team as a Shut Supervisor and play a pivotal role in keeping our timber manufacturing operation performing at its best. Leading shutdown activities across our Sawmill, Drymill, and Kilns, you'll bring together teams, contractors, and resources to deliver safe, efficient maintenance outcomes that improve reliability, minimise downtime, and drive operational performance.
In this role, you will:
Lead scheduled maintenance shutdowns and major plant outage events.
Coordinate contractors, maintenance teams, projects and operational preparation to deliver successful shutdowns.
Develop maintenance plans and work packs for preventative, corrective, and shutdown work.
Ensure shutdown activities are completed safely, efficiently, and as planned.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Champion safe work practices and provide leadership during shutdown activities.
This is a full-time, site-based role operating on a four-day work week, including regular Sunday work and approximately one Saturday per month to oversee scheduled maintenance shutdowns and coordinate critical maintenance activities.

About you
You are a strong maintenance leader who excels at coordinating teams and resources to achieve safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance outcomes.
You will bring:
A relevant qualification
Experience in industrial maintenance environments
Proven ability to lead and coordinate maintenance teams, contractors, and multiple work streams
Strong knowledge of permit-to-work systems, isolations, and safe work practices
Experience using SAP or other Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
The ability to make sound decisions, solve problems, and perform under pressure
A proactive approach to safety, continuous improvement, and equipment reliability
Maintenance planning experience is advantageous
