Corporate Accountant

About the role
As the Corporate Accountant, you will report to the Financial Controller and play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, forecasting, compliance, and business insights. Working as part of the Corporate Finance Team, which supports four diverse business units, you will provide technical accounting expertise, support business decision-making, and drive continuous improvement across finance processes, systems, and reporting.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and statutory reporting.
Supporting treasury, cash flow management, and capital accounting activities.
Assisting with internal and external audits, compliance, and reporting requirements.
Providing management accounting support and financial advice to stakeholders.
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance reporting and efficiency.
Supporting finance projects, systems improvements, and business initiatives.
Building strong relationships across the business and delivering a high standard of customer service.

About you
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys turning data into meaningful insights and delivering high-quality reporting in a fast-paced environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A tertiary qualification in accounting or finance, with experience in a finance role or progress towards a CA ANZ qualification.
Strong practical experience with accounting systems, BI tools, and report writing software
A sound understanding of IFRS reporting standards and relevant IRD requirements
Proven ability to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting
Strong analytical and numerical skills, with a high level of attention to detail
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, along with experience using accounting software
An understanding of internal controls and financial governance requirements
Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships
A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a strong work ethic
The flexibility and resilience to perform under pressure and adapt to changing business needs.
