Despatch Coordinator

About the opportunity
As a Despatch Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient flow of lumber products through the despatch operation, supporting the Despatch Team Leader and wider despatch team. Core responsibilities include:
Manage order processing to ensure timely and accurate fulfilment
Allocate stock effectively to meet customer and operational requirements
Maintain inventory accuracy across systems and physical stock
Coordinate container planning and loading requirements
Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders
Provide critical administrative support to keep despatch operations running smoothly
Undertake occasional forklift duties as required
Contribute to a strong health and safety culture
Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and customer service
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the despatch function
The position is full time and is based at our Whirinaki site, just 15 minutes north of Napier.

About You
You are a detail-focused and reliable team player with experience in an operational environment.
You will bring:
A background in despatch, logistics, warehousing, inventory control, administration, or a similar operational environment
Experience using computer systems, including the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
High accuracy and strong numeracy skills
A strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
Good communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
A practical, solutions-focused approach with sound judgement
A proactive mindset and willingness to support continuous improvement
A forklift licence and/or experience (desirable)
