Chipmill Operator

About the role
As a Fibre Supply Operator in our Pulp business unit’s Utilities team, you willl keep production moving by supplying the pulpmill with the wood fibre it needs for consistent, reliable operation, supporting the creation of product for global export.
You’ll be hands on every day, executing the production plan with responsibilities that include:
Operating the chipmill to meet the chipping schedule
Preparing boiler fuel
Managing chip loadout
Supporting landfill care
Operating mobile plant, including wheeled loaders and a bulldozer
This is a shift-based position, working 8 hour shifts (Monday to Friday) on a one week rotating roster: 6.00am–2.00pm and 2.00pm–10.00pm.
The role is based at our Whirinaki site, just 15 minutes north of Napier.

About you
You have experience operating plant or machinery and thrive in practical, hands on work environments. Ideally, you will bring:
A willingness to learn and adapt quickly to changing demands
A strong commitment to health and safety
Clear and confident communication skills
A proven ability to work effectively within a self managed team
Previous experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment
