Junior Corporate Accountant

About the role
As a key member of the Corporate Finance Team (CFT), the Junior Corporate Accountant plays an integral role in supporting the delivery of high-quality financial information across the business. This is a hands on, development focused position that offers exposure to a wide range of corporate accounting functions including reporting, audit, project accounting, budgeting, and technical analysis. The role is designed to grow your capability while ensuring the CFT continues to meet its internal and external reporting commitments.
You will be involved in:
Supporting internal/external reporting, consolidated accounts, statutory statements, and treasury/cashflow reporting
Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and technical accounting analysis
Contributing to audit activities and government reporting
Providing management accounting support, including SAP project accounting
Maintaining capital accounting processes (fixed assets, GRIR, Oji reporting)
Identifying process improvements and system enhancements
Delivering assigned tasks and providing backup support across the CFT
Engaging in professional development, networking, and team collaboration

About you
You are a detail-driven accountant with a passion for numbers and a desire to learn, grow and support the finance team with high-quality work.
You offer:
A tertiary qualification in accounting
Experience in an accounting and/or financial reporting role
Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Solid knowledge of IRD legislation and IFRS reporting standards
Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, and accounting software
A sound understanding of internal control requirements
High numerical literacy and strong analytical skills
Excellent time management skills and confidence working to deadlines
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A genuine desire to grow and develop your career in Finance
