Stores Manager

About the opportunity
Pan Pac Forest Products is a fully integrated company with three core operational areas: Forests, Lumber, and Pulp. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Stores Manager for a fixed-term role focused on reviewing and improving our store’s function that supports two major operational areas.
In this role, you’ll lead a comprehensive review of current stores operations and play a key part in aligning our systems, people, and processes. You'll work closely with the purchasing and stores teams, as well as wider business stakeholders, to ensure practical solutions are developed, communicated, and successfully embedded for operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Auditing and reviewing stores processes to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
- Leading the development and implementation of improved procedures and documentation
- Supporting teams through change by providing clear guidance and communication
- Ensuring roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and understood across the business
- Consulting with stakeholders to ensure solutions are fit-for-purpose and adopted
- Linking the practical operations of the stores team with our newly implemented SAP system
Focus areas for process improvement will include:
- Stores inventory management including parts movement processes (in/out) and parts storage of;
- General business consumables
- Extensive engineering spares catalogue
- Hazardous substances
- Management and control of rotable spares
- Warehousing organisation and management
This role is full-time, fixed term position for six months, Monday – Friday, based at our Whirinaki site located 15 mins north of Napier.

About you
We are seeking a proactive and solution-focused leader with a background in change management and a track record of driving operational improvements.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management systems
- Familiarity with SAP (highly advantageous)
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels
- Excellent planning, organisational, and multitasking abilities to deliver outcomes efficiently
- A logical, methodical approach with strong attention to detail
- Experience leading teams and successfully implementing change initiatives
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
- A strong customer service mindset
- The ability to collaborate with a wide range of roles and functions across the organisation
